Much as the world appreciates the antiquity, and profound wisdom contribution of ancient Indian civilization, the editorial board considered that, in its checkered history, this civilization has been maligned, the subject of distortions, and slighted by prejudiced thinkers and writers, both during the country’s colonial past, as well as in the present era—including by some who profess to be experts in Indology. While it may be judicial to ignore such critics and biased thinkers, we thought that the facts related to such perversions of history need to be rectified, and explained to the readers. Through invited articles and op-eds, in a special section, “Hinduism—A World View”, this subject is researched, and briefly reviewed.
